At the young age of 15, I started my journey into the world of

all things hair and make-up by becoming an apprentice in a busy salon and soon fell in love! The buzz of creating beauty and in some instances art, pushed me to becoming a senior stylist in a highly successful salon.

After 8 years and 2 awards, I decided to pursue my passion for the industry even further and trained with the award winning DFMA make-up academy and Nicola Hood Hair & Make-up Artist was born!

The beauty of being freelance is that I've been able to focus and specialise skills in the areas that I'm most passionate about.
 

I have had the pleasure of working with so many beautiful brides in lots of stunning locations to create their dream wedding looks.

 

From matching the look to the dress and the wedding theme, to seeing the excitement of the bridal party on the day and applying the finishing touches. What job could be better?!
